It’s a pleasure for St. John’s International School to host a charity programme on 29th June 2019 in order to share happiness and blessings with those in need. The SJIS Raya Open House programme was held from 8.45am till 12 noon, which was intended to celebrate Raya 2019 with the incredible children from Rumah Anak – Anak Yatim and Asnaf Qaseh Ibu.

This programme was hosted by two reputable individuals, Mr Rusland Abu Samah, the Chairman of SJIS Campus 1 and YM Tunku Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Iskandar, the Chairman of SJIS Campus 2. The celebration was graced by the presence of our respectable members of the Board of Governors, invited guests, SJIS teachers and staff. A few sponsors who have contributed to the charity programme were also present during the event.

The programme commenced with a warm greeting by the emcee and prayer recitation by one of the children from the Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim and Asnaf Qaseh Ibu, Mohd Adam Md Hatim, followed by a welcoming speech by YM Tunku Dato’ Seri (Dr.) Iskandar. A few performances were also done by the talented children from the home as well as our very own SJIS vocalists and guitarist. The programme was then resumed with the distribution of ‘duit raya’ and goodie bags to the children. The SJIS Raya Open House programme was concluded with a photo session taken with the children and teachers from the home as a memory of a well-spent day with these children.

May blessings of good health, kindness, friendship, compassion and love bring joy to everyone, especially to these children from the Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim and Asnaf Qaseh Ibu.
