Kuala Lumpur – St. John’s International School KL recently had its 2nd annual school carnival
A collaborative effort with SJIS’ Interact Club, the event, which was held on 6th October 2018, had a widespread of 30 booths ranging from food and drinks to collectible items.
All tickets for the carnival was sold out like hot cakes by 2PM on that day.
“The main objective of the carnival, apart from giving opportunities for our students to be independent and able-thinkers, is to raise funds for our CSR activities,” shared Mr. Meby Ignatius, SJIS Registrar
20% of the total collection (RM 15,000) will be utilised for CSR activities planned for 2019.
Mr. Ignatius, who is also accountable for club activities, mentioned that the students had geared up in anticipation for the carnival, as they could express their business-mindedness and creativity
With the success of 2018 carnival the teachers, staff and students are encouraged to have biggest scale for the coming carnival in 2019.
The Interact club and its committee shall put in more effort to ensure success of future SJIS carnival.
