The SJIS basketball tournament concluded last Friday 15th February 2019. It was a thrilling competition that showcased the best of our young baller’s skills. Some dazzling dribbling and superb shooting were on display, as old rivalries were rekindled and new ones were created on the court.

Several schools played out an intense and exciting contest, keeping the spectators on their toes with some brilliant passages of play. Passion and determination was plain to see, with every athlete putting in every effort for the cause, making for some breathtaking basketball.

The SJIS team displayed a true fighting spirit, battling hard against tough competition to secure a fourth-place finish. Despite finishing just outside the medal position, the team can be extremely proud of their efforts and enthusiasm, and certainly exceeded some expectations. Losing out on a medal will surely serve as extra motivation for the team next year!

SJIS thanks Ms Anita, Ms Renaddia, Ms Renuka and Ms Devagi, as well as SJIS students, for their unwavering support throughout the tournament. We also thank all other schools and students for their participation, and we look forward to hosting the event again next year – with greater success for the SJIS ballers!
